THE FLASH 791 -

This issue leans hard into momentum, which is fitting for a Flash book. The pacing is quick, the stakes are extremely high, and the urgency feels real without being chaotic (I love when stories start like that). What works is the focus on the family dynamic within the Flash legacy. It doesn’t just rely on Wally; it gives space to others in the speedster circle, which adds layers. The writing is clean and doesn’t over-explain itself, which is refreshing. The art keeps things light and kinetic, but there’s enough grit when it needs to shift tone. What stands out is how much heart is packed in for a story that also has so much action. It’s about more than just saving the day; it’s about the team doing it and why it matters to them. Flash comics can sometimes lose character in the middle of spectacle, just like the show on the CW (the later seasons, seasons 1-3 are amazing), but this one strikes a balance.
