It is a raw survival story with high stakes and barely has any moments to breathe. The art keeps up with the tone and the story, and does these two and their iconic and everlasting rival justice. Sabretooth brings the power, but it is the emotional layer underneath that gives it weight. Wolverine is not just fighting him, he is fighting everything that brought him here. It is not reinventing anything, but it hits hard. Sometimes, a great rivalry is exactly what you need.
