NIGHTWING: RISE OF RAPTOR -
This arc blends street-level grit with legacy drama, and for the most part, it works. Raptor makes for a compelling villain, especially when his ideology clashes with the values Dick Grayson grew up with. What I love is how this story pushes Nightwing’s moral compass, something that’s always been core to his character. He is the only hero that Batman looks up to. Which is ironic because he was his sidekick and the first Robin. The art isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s solid and consistent, serving the story well. What really stands out is the depth of the character dynamics. It’s the kind of storytelling that’s got me thinking, not just about plot, but how backstory and belief systems can shape and shift a story in powerful ways.
